Masu Aluvi Roshi/Maldivian Stuffed Flatbread

If you want to give a twist to your usual aloo paratha aka Potato masala stuffed rotis, am sure my today's post will definitely tickle your tastebuds. Masu Aluvi Roshi, this incredible stuffed flatbread is from Maldives. This fantastic flatbread is stuffed with a mild spicy and very delicious stuffing. Yes a spiced, cooked tuna fish and potato masala once stuffed with an all purpose flour dough makes this ultimate flatbread. As much as like our Indian stuffed flatbreads, this Maldivian flat bread can be enjoyed without any side dish. You can roll this flatbread round or as squares depending upon how you want to shape your Mas Aluvi Roshi.

Mas Aluvi Roshi, Maldivian Flatbread

Am running this week's blogging marathon with Stuffed flatbreads from different countries as theme. After a meaty Azerbaijani stuffed flatbread, i couldnt resist to post this fabulous Maldivian flatbread. Easy to make, the stuffing calls for simple ingredients. Spiced with chopped green chillies, curry leaves, trust me i have completely fallen in love with the stuffing. If you want the stuffing more spicy, dont forget to add red chilly powder as you desire. We enjoyed this flatbread thoroughly for our dinner, as i told earlier these flatbreads doesnt need any side dish to enjoy.

I am not a fan of tuna but reading the ingredient list for the filling, I am salivating. A nice twist to our own aloo paratha. I am always amazed how similar some of the food is, across the countries.

wow - what an intersting filling - its like a kroket filling in a flatbread as these are the main ingredients in Dutch and Sri Lankan krokets

Tuna as a stuffing is very interesting. I bet with potatoes they would have tasted really well.
